Department Evolution
The Department of Electronics and Electrical Communication Engineering (EECE) at GITAM Bengaluru, established in 2012, has grown into a distinguished center for education and research. Starting with undergraduate programs, it expanded to offer postgraduate and Ph.D. programs by 2017. Recognized as a Category 1 Institution in 2020, the department enhanced its research capabilities with the MURTI Research Center in 2023, fostering interdisciplinary innovation. The introduction of an industry-aligned curriculum in 2024 ensures students acquire critical problem-solving skills and technical expertise to excel in the evolving technological landscape.
