Multidisciplinary Unit of Research on Translational Initiatives (MURTI)
The Multidisciplinary Unit of Research on Translational Initiatives (MURTI) is a pioneering virtual entity at GITAM, serving as a hub for interdisciplinary research and innovation. MURTI’s primary goal is to foster a cross-disciplinary think tank that tackles issues of regional, national, and global significance.
It aims to develop actionable hypotheses or suggestive measures, which can then be tested by dedicated goal-oriented research clusters within a dynamic research ecosystem. MURTI centres will be established across all three GITAM campuses.
Top-quality faculty from diverse disciplines, either from GITAM or invited from leading national and global institutions, will collaborate with MURTI. By uniting researchers from various fields on a shared platform, MURTI seeks to create a stimulating research environment, moving beyond traditional single-discipline approaches. MURTI engages in multidisciplinary research to produce innovative and sustainable solutions.
The core objective of MURTI is to establish cross-disciplinary research hubs focused on goal-oriented, time-bound translational initiatives. These collaborative platforms will bring together researchers, experts, and stakeholders from various fields to address complex problems and develop innovative solutions, fostering greater understanding and cooperation across disciplines.
