Master of Laws in IPR and Cyber Law
GITAM School of Law, a premier private law school in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana (IIRF Rankings 2023), offers a prestigious LLM in IPR and Cyber Law programme. This one-year full-time programme is designed to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of international Intellectual Property Rights and Global Cyber Laws.
The program delves into the concepts of primary and impelled guarded alteration (Intellectual Property) and the reform of law and order. Additionally, it covers topics such as cyber law experts and cybercrime.
Eligibility
Applicants must possess a qualifying law degree (LLB, BA LLB, BBA LLB, BSc LLB, or BCom LLB) from a recognised university with a minimum of 50% marks (45% for SC/ST and persons with disabilities). Additionally, candidates must have qualified in AILET, LSAT, or CLAT. As per Supreme Court directives, there is no upper age limit for enrolment in the LLM programme.
Scope of the Programme
The LLM in Intellectual Property and Cyber Law programme is designed to provide a comprehensive understanding of the ethical, social, political, national, international, and economic factors that influence legal values and principles.
With a focus on Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) and cyber law, the programme explores both international and Indian laws governing the protection and management of intellectual property. Additionally, students delve into specific Indian laws designed to address cyber crimes such as bullying, theft, fraud, and defamation.
Our LLM programme covers a wide range of major intellectual property rights, including trademarks, copyright, designs, common law, and patents. We also explore Indian cyber laws, ensuring that our graduates are well-versed in the legal framework governing cyberspace.

Scholarships
Merit-Based Scholarships
The scholarship from GAT/National/State Entrance Tests applies only in the first year. To continue receiving it in subsequent years, a minimum CGPA of 8.0 must be maintained.
Apart from the above, the following scholarships are also offered to eligible students.
- Employee Children Scholarships: (60%, 40%, and 20%)
- Loyalty Scholarships: (10% for Any alumni returning to do higher studies/Children of Alumni/Real siblings (Not applicable to step siblings or cousins)/Children of retired employees of GITAM/Spouse of GITAM employees).
- Sports Scholarships: (100%, 75%, 50%, 25% and 15%)
Need-Based Scholarships
- To be eligible for the need-based scholarship, the combined income of both parents/guardians of the eligible student/If the student is married, the combined income of the family, i.e., the student's and spouse's income, must be less than 8.00 LPA.
- The candidates admitted through merit scholarship in the slabs of 75%, 60%, 40%, 25%,and 15%, and the parents/guardians combined income is less than the prescribed limits are eligible for the additional need-based scholarship.

Scholarships For Accommodation
- In addition, students awarded need-based scholarships after merit scholarships will receive an additional 20% scholarship specifically allocated for hostel fees at GITAM for slabs: 15%, 25%, 40%, and 60%.
- Students awarded 75% & 100% scholarships are also awarded the same percentage in the hostel and food fees.
