Dr. Shamuel Tharu has been studying and teaching politics since he moved on from a career in journalism in 2002. He works in the areas of security studies, critical studies, developmental studies and political ecology. Prior to joining GITAM, he taught at NALSAR University of Law, Hyderabad. He has also taught at BITS Pilani, Hyderabad Campus, Khalsa College, University of Delhi, and as a Visiting Professor at Jamia Millia Islamia’s Nelson Mandela Centre for Peace and Conflict Resolution.
