Dr. Kumar obtained his Ph.D. (Gold Medalist) from All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi, India and recipient of prestigious American Heart Association Postdoctoral Fellowship. His primary research focus is on understanding the physiological and molecular mechanisms underlying aging and age-related diseases including dementia and stroke. He uses various in vivo and in vitro approaches to o identify new biomarkers and develop novel therapeutics to treat age-related disorders.
