Dr K. Hanumantha Rao did his PhD from Jawaharlal Nehru University and Postdoc from NIPGR-DBT, New Delhi. His group is interested in understanding the fundamental cellular processes in Eukaryotes and Prokaryotes using molecular biology, biochemistry, and Bioinformatics tools in Candida, Vibrio, and Human-cell lines as model systems. The team is also trying to dissect molecular-mechanism pathogenesis in Fungi and Bacteria by adopting tools like Single-Cell RNAseq analysis, multi-omics approach
