Dr. K. Prameela is from Visakhapatnam in Andhra Pradesh. She has a Ph.D from Andhra University. Her research lies in isolation of pigments from marine waste and food formulations. She completed project worth of Rs 33 lakhs. Currently she is working on isolation and identification of anticancer and immunomodulatory compounds from plants. These natural compounds can alter the immune system. Further, she works in various signal pathways to regulate the immune response.
