No. There is no capitation fee. You only pay tuition/programme fees which have been mentioned in the fee schedule.

Other than programme/tuition fees, you have to pay for hostel accommodation and mess charges which has been mentioned in the hostel fee schedule.

 Yes. We do have sponsored quota for all programmes.

Parents, parents' brothers/sisters, or candidates' brothers/sisters holding NRI status can sponsor undergraduate programmes.

No. Programme/ tuition fee has to be paid in US Dollars through the sponsor’s bank account by wire transfer.

 No. Student admitted under NRI or NRI sponsored category will continue in the same category even if the status of the sponsorer changes and will continue to pay the programme fee and hostel fee in US Dollars till the completion of the programme.

15% of the total seats are reserved for foreign/ NRI category.

Applications will be accepted till seats are filled under foreign/NRI category for all programmes.Students seeking admission to the MBBS and BDS programmes will have to apply directly to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS), New Delhi after the NEET results are declared.

If the application has been sent online, then the required documents can be sent as attachments by e.mail to : admissions_international@gitam.edu

If the application has been downloaded, then the required documents and application fee as mentioned in the checklist of the application can be sent by post/courier/speed post to the following address:

Once you send in your application and application fee online and required documents as attachment by email, we will register your application and let you know the next process, i.e. inform you as to when the offer letter will be sent it eligible or request for some additional information/documents.
 

No. We do not have any agents through whom you can apply. Students/ Parents should contact us directly for any information/admission. GITAM will not be responsible if students have applied through agents and have lost their money.
 

No. There is no entrance exam for admission under foreign/NRI category for all programmes except MBBS and B Arch (kindly check the admission process for these programmes). Admission is on a first come basis if the candidate meets the eligibility requirements.
 

Resident Indians, Foreign citizens including OCI and PIO card holders and Non-Resident Indians can write NEET.

Yes. A foreign citizen is eligible to write NEET.

Candidates apply for all programmes other than MBBS and BDS who write their International Baccalaureate (IB) Dipoma can submit their predicted IB results, GCE ‘A’ Level student should submit ‘AS’ Level results plus predicted ‘A’ Level results. Candidates following the other systems can submit their mark sheets/transcripts up to Grade 12 Semester 1 results.

Yes. We do offer conditional admissions for all programmes except MBBS and B Arch, if the candidate has submitted his/her 11th grade mark sheet / transcript plus 12th grade pre-final/pre-board/model exam/predicted results.

 Visakhapatnam is centrally located on the east-coast of South India and is in Andhra Pradesh State. The Capital of Andhra Pradesh is Amaravati.

You can get to Visakhapatnam directly from Dubai, Singapore, Kuala Lumpur and Colombo. Also you can reach via all metro cities, Hyderabad and Bangalore. Visakhapatnam is 600 to 800 KMs away from Hyderabad, Chennai or Kolkata. Trains are also well connected to Visakhapatnam from any of the Metro cities.

 You should take a prepaid taxi, UBER or OLA cabs to from the airport/railway station.

No. A foreign student (citizen) can study at GITAM only with a 'Student Visa'. If the foreign citizen is of Indian origin, then he/she can apply and get a PIO (People of Indian Origin) Card or and OCI (Overseas Citizen of India). Candidates with PIO or OCI can study in India without a student visa.

You can apply for a Student Visa or PIO or OCI from the Indian Embassy or Consulate in your country. Student Visas are issued based on the confirmed admission letter issued by the International Admissions Office, GITAM, Visakhapatnam.

Students can plan to arrive 1-2 days prior to the commencement of classes. Accepted students will be informed of the exact date in the letter of confirmed admission.
 

Guaranteed on campus accommodation is available for international students. Rooms are allocated usually on twin-sharing basis unless specified otherwise. .

No, will first have to complete the admission formalities/registration as mentioned in the confirmed admission letter and obtain the ‘Admission Order’ issued by the International Admissions Office
 

 Yes, internet facilities are available at campuses. Wireless internet facilities are available in some areas.

All students admitted can get healthcare at Teaching hospital in GITAM at Vizag campus. Healthcare professionals are available at other campuses namely Hyderabad and Bangalore.

Indian food- vegetarian or non-vegetarian is served in the hostel mess. At GITAM, there are food courts where a variety of food is served.

From July to October - rains (heavy/ moderate), November to January- very mild winter or pleasant and February to June- hot and humid (up to 40º C)

Admission will be confirmed only on fulfilling all the eligibility conditions, submission of requisite documents as mentioned ( see Documents Required), payment of registration fee and first year programme fee.

Either of the parents who are NRIs can sponsor an NRIs candidate. No other relatives are permitted to sponsor.
 

No, we do not have any agents or representatives for admission. All international admissions are conducted through the office of the Director, International Admissions, GITAM, Visakhapatnam. Students and parents are advised to not approach any middlemen but apply themselves.
