BSc Electronics
GITAM's BSc in Electronics is a fundamental program in modern electronics. This science, technology, and engineering (STE) based programme offered at our Bengaluru campus equips students with a comprehensive understanding of electrical components and devices.
Delivered by the Department of Electronics, the undergraduate programme fosters a strong foundation in electronic principles, circuit design, signal processing, and semiconductor technologies.
The programme curriculum prepares graduates for a thriving career at the forefront of technological innovation. It emphasises practical skill development, a deep understanding of core concepts, and aims to bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge, research, and industry application.
Eligibility
Applicants must have obtained a minimum of 50% or a CGPA of 5.0 (55% for CBSE, ICSE, ISCSE, IGCSE, and IB) in their 10+2 examination or equivalent in any discipline from a recognised Central/State Board or its equivalent. Additionally, they must have qualified in the GAT (UG Science), AP EAPCET, CUET, JEE Main, NEET, or TS EAMCET.
Scope of the Programme
The BSc in Electronics programme equips students with a comprehensive understanding of the fundamental principles and applications of electronics in our modern world. The curriculum covers troubleshooting and repairing electrical appliances, programming, modern electronics, and communication and ethical values.
Upon successful completion of the BSc in Electronics, graduates possess the knowledge and skills to understand electronic circuits, contribute to the entire lifecycle of electronic devices, and excel in a wide range of careers within the ever-evolving field of electronics.
