My area of research is concerned with the identification of sources of environmental pollution in Visakhapatnam through the elemental analysis of water, aerosol and soil samples. Accelerator facility at Institute of Physics, Bhubaneswar was used for Particle Induced X-ray Emission (PIXE) experiments to analyze trace elements and heavy metals in water, aerosol and soil samples collected from different geographical locations of Visakhapatnam city.
