Dr Gurram Ashok obtained his MPhil and PhD from the University of Hyderabad and hails from Telangana State. He worked on PhD thesis titled, “Decoding the Politics of Technology and Welfare: A Study of Aadhaar-based Services in Telangana State”. He was also a UGC-NET-JRF holder during his PhD. He received a grant from ICSSR for a research project on The Role of Digital India in Grassroots Governance: An Exploratory Study in Rural Telangana.
