At GITAM School of Business, Visakhapatnam, our Operations and Supply Chain faculty are distinguished scholars and educators who bring a wealth of expertise to our BBA, MBA, and PhD programs. All holding PhDs they specialize in areas such as manufacturing, retail, sourcing, project management, material management, operations, logistics, supply chain complexities, decision science, and quantitative techniques.

Our rigorous teaching methods and practical experiences, such as those provided by our operational club Logiway, are designed to enhance students' analytical and problem-solving abilities. We are dedicated to preparing our students for real-world industry challenges, ensuring they are equipped with the skills necessary to excel in their careers.

Research and Collaboration

Since 2021, our research has been at the forefront of advancing sustainability, circular economy, performance measurement and management, business process re-engineering, and resilient supply chains. We have published over 60 Scopus-indexed and ABDC-listed articles in renowned journals, including the Journal of Business Research, the Journal of Cleaner Production, and the International Journal of Logistics Management.

Our faculty have secured significant research grants totaling INR 2 crores in collaboration with prestigious institutions such as Aston University, U.K., IIT Kharagpur, and Jadavpur University through the Newton Fund - Royal Academy of Engineering and the British Council. Notably, one of our professors received the Best Researcher Award in 2023.

Industry Engagement and Professional Development

Our faculty members are actively involved in continuous professional development, delivering Management Development Programs for leading corporations such as Aurobindo, Shipbuilding, and Jindal. They also participate in and lead Faculty Development Programs, workshops, and national and international seminars and conferences. This ensures that our staff and students remain at the cutting edge of their fields.
