GITAM's Centres of Excellence are dedicated units concentrating expertise and resources within a discipline, ensuring world-class performance and value. Our Research and Innovation function has 10 Centres of Excellence (CoEs).

Each Centre of Excellence at GITAM delivers focused leadership, best practices, and dedicated research and training. Bringing together people from various disciplines, it uses shared resources to concentrate on specific areas.

Centres of Excellence at GITAM

Centre for Biomedical Devices (CBD)

The CBD focusses on research and fabrication, medical licensing, and production of medical devices.

Centre for Autonomous Systems (CAS)

The CAS focusses on research for designing and developing autonomous systems, including robotics, underwater, ground, and aerial vehicles, etc.

Centre for Health & Wellness Innovation (CHWI)

The CHWI drives Research & Innovation in Life Sciences, focusses on Foods and Nutrition.

Centre for Extended Reality(XR)

The Centre for Extended Reality at GITAM University explores immersive technologies like Virtual, Augmented, and Mixed Reality. It drives innovation across education, healthcare, and entertainment through interdisciplinary research. The Centre prepares students to create cutting-edge XR solutions for real-world applications.

Centre for Aerospace Systems Design and Practice(CASDP)

The Centre for Aerospace Systems Design and Practice at GITAM University focuses on advancing aerospace engineering through research in system design, simulation, and practical applications. It empowers students to innovate in areas like aircraft, spacecraft, and unmanned systems, fostering real-world problem-solving skills and cutting-edge technological expertise.
